Plumber in Greenock
Little Scotland in the Barossa
Greenock takes its name from the town on the River Clyde, and our name comes from Scottish roots too. Craig is the plumber and gas fitter for the township and the vineyard and farm properties around it.
Plumbing in a small CWMS town
Greenock is on Light Regional Council’s Community Wastewater Management System, the CWMS. These are the things worth knowing if you live in town.
There’s a tank on your block
On a CWMS, the house drains into its own septic tank first, and the tank drains into the council network. Keep the lids clear so the tank can be reached.
Council books the pump-out
Light Regional schedules a pump-out of CWMS tanks every four years. Greenock’s two areas are listed for 2028 and 2029.
A blockage can be on either side
When a toilet gurgles or a gully overflows, Craig works out whether it’s the pipe from the house, the tank or the outlet, and clears it.

“Craig attended our Barossa home today and quickly and efficiently fixed a drainage issue. He was easy to communicate with and arrived when he said he would.”
The main street and the vineyard roads
In town
Old stone, the pub and the side streetsGreenock is an old town. The Greenock Arms has been there since 1850, when it was a stop for the mail coaches, and the older houses around the main street are where tired pipework tends to turn up.
The usual calls are blocked drains, dripping or rusty galv pipe, hot water that has given up and bathrooms being brought up to date.
Out of town
Vineyards, farms and lifestyle blocksOutside the township, properties have their own septic or aerobic systems, rainwater tanks and bottled gas. Craig repairs and replaces septic systems, connects tanks, swaps out tired pressure pumps and fits filters and UV for drinking water.
He also runs gas lines and connects LPG cooktops, heaters and hot water.

Greenock, west of Nuriootpa
Greenock is on the north-western side of the valley, a short run west of Nuriootpa, in Light Regional Council.
From Williamstown it is around half an hour, about 28 km by road. Craig covers the township, the vineyard roads and the farms out towards Freeling. Septic and CWMS lines, blocked drains and hot water are the jobs we hear about most. Looking for a Barossa plumber elsewhere in the valley? Pick a town below.
New bathrooms in older Greenock homes
An old house is a good candidate for a new bathroom, and the renovation is the best time to replace the tired pipe behind the walls and under the floor as well.
Craig does the rough-in before the walls are closed up and the fit-off once the tiling is done, and works in with your builder, waterproofer and tiler so each trade can get on with it. On a CWMS block he also checks the waste lines out to the septic tank while everything is open.

Greenock questions, answered
Does Greenock have sewer?
Greenock is on Light Regional Council’s CWMS. Houses in town drain to their own septic tank, which connects to the council network. Properties out of town have their own onsite systems.
My septic tank is due for a pump-out. Do you do that?
No, we don’t pump tanks out. Light Regional Council schedules CWMS pump-outs. Craig repairs the pipes, tanks and fittings.
Do you look after vineyard and farm properties?
Yes. Septic and aerobic systems, rainwater tanks, pressure pumps, filters and UV, water lines and LPG are all part of the work out of town.
Can you replace old galvanised water pipe?
Yes. If the pressure has dropped or the water runs brown, Craig can replace the old galv with new pipe and plan the route so as little as possible is opened up.
How far is Greenock from you?
Around half an hour. We’re based in Williamstown SA 5351, about 28 km away by road.
Do you do after-hours call-outs in Greenock?
Yes. For a burst pipe, sewage coming up, a gas smell or no hot water, ring 0499 319 297 any time.
