What we collect

When you send an enquiry or quote request through this website, we collect only the details you choose to provide: typically your name, phone number, email address, suburb and a description of the plumbing or gas job. If you call or email us directly, we keep the contact details you give us so we can respond and manage your job. If you leave a review on our contact page, we collect your name, rating, review and, if you choose, your suburb and email address.

How we use it

We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, quote, schedule and carry out the work you've asked about, and to communicate with you about that work, including invoicing. Enquiries submitted through our website form are delivered to us by email. JB Digital Barossa, the studio that built and looks after this website, receives a copy of each enquiry and logs your name, email address and message in its client portal, so it can check the form is working.

• We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
• We don't share your details with third parties, except with the providers who help run this website and deliver our email (Netlify hosting; Resend email delivery, with any enquiry that can't be delivered stored securely in JB Digital Barossa's client portal for follow-up; and JB Digital Barossa as described above), or where the law requires it.
• We don't use your details for third-party marketing lists.

Reviews

Reviews left on our contact page are stored in JB Digital Barossa's client portal and checked by us before they appear. If we publish your review, your name, suburb (if given), rating and review are shown on this website. Your email address is never published. Ask us any time and we'll remove it.

Enquiry forms and follow-up

When you type your email address or phone number into an enquiry or quote form on this website, we save what you have entered so far (your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry), even if you do not press send. We do this only so that Piper Plumbing & Gas can get in touch once to help if your enquiry was interrupted. We never save passwords or payment details. If you clear the form, or tap “Clear” under it, what you typed is deleted. If you do send the form, the unsent copy is deleted straight away. Otherwise, saved details are deleted automatically after 90 days. They are stored securely in Australia by our website provider, JB Digital Barossa, and are not sold, shared or used for marketing lists. To see or delete anything we hold about you, or to ask us not to contact you, email hello@piperplumbing.au and we will action it promptly.

Cookies & analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages and buttons people use (for example the call, email and quote buttons), so we can keep improving the site. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and does not give us your name or contact details; it's covered by Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out with Google's browser add-on. We don't use advertising cookies. The enquiry form may set a small cookie that limits repeat submissions, to stop spam. Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google when a page loads. Our homepage shows our Facebook page using Facebook's page plugin; when it loads, Facebook may set its own cookies, covered by Facebook's privacy policy. You can block or clear cookies at any time in your browser settings and the site will still work.

Storage & security

We take reasonable steps to keep the information you give us secure and to hold it only as long as needed to deliver our services and meet our record-keeping obligations. Our website form uses standard protections against spam and misuse.

Access, correction & deletion

You're welcome to ask what details we hold about you, or to have them corrected or deleted. Just get in touch and we'll sort it promptly. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first so we can put it right; you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
